Anna T. Kelly was born in China. As a small child, she was captivated by the effects of light and color, refraction and reflection on the beautiful island of Taiwan, where she grew up. For as long as she can remember, she was attracted by the visual arts.

Anna's interest in art drew her to Taiwan's textile industry. In college, she studied art and design, receiving her bachelor of science degree in textile engineering. After finishing college, she worked in fabric design and began training in fine arts in the studios of Professor J.Y. Chen and Professor Lee Teh. She also learned Chinese painting under Professor H.N. Au.She is an Artist Member of the California Art Club.

She is also a member of various local art organizations, including the Pasadena Society of Artists and Women Painters West, and has participated in a wide variety of local and national art club exhibitions.

Most recently, Anna participated in the San Gabriel Mission Art Exhibit, where she received awards for "Best in Show" and "Best Portrait." In addition to many local art shows, her recent juried regional and national exhibits include:

Anna's sensitivity to color and her unusual and emotive subjects give her paintings a special character that makes them especially attractive to collectors. She says, "I consider myself a portraitist, not only of people, but of daily life. I try to paint what I love, in order to share my affection with the viewers.
